Message I have only been able to turn the boost up about 1 PSI typically with larger pipes and intercoolers.
The power jumps dramatically with adding the larger pipes and intercoolers, this is because the system moves more air without needing to make more pressure.
Pressure only occurs with resistance, the turbo is spinning much harder with larger pipes to achieve the same pressure and is moving a lot more air. The engine is able to burn more fuel with this extra air, so produces more heat.
The extra cooling from the parts seems to cool the extra heat that is made, this allows more power at the same boost level by allowing more air to move at a similar temperature.
In my experience turning the boost higher, still introduces knock without more octane.
